Unfortunately, we were directly hit during Hurricane Ian by what we believe was a tornado, and suffered severe damages. Entire structures collapsed along with parts of the barn where the horses are housed. Entire parts of the barn’s roofing is destroyed beyond repair or is completely gone.
Our home which is on the same property and has our office, suffered severe damage as well, with parts of the roof caving in, wooden boards and a tree branch inside the house, and shards of glass scattered amongst our home.
We are so happy to be able to say that every animal and all horses made it through the storm alive and unharmed (even our full time stray cat!).
Our plan is to rebuild and to be an active part of this community once again. To be able to do that, we still have a long road ahead of us and need help.
We have already begun to clean and rebuild. All of this would not be possible without the incredible support we receive from our community, which means more to us than we could ever communicate. To see how many people have made amazing horse memories at our barn throughout the years is beyond incredible and gives us the energy to continue.
One of our student’s mother was kind enough to suggest and help set up a GoFundMe fund raiser for those who are able to donate. Please remember that there is no such thing as a small donation, everything helps. If you are unable to donate weak if you are able to share it with others who may able to. Thank you and stay safe everyone!
